Taking that into account, Drew Petrie's spectacular form over the last fortnight is coming at the perfect time. His 128 against Richmond on Sunday was his second impressive score, following on from 113 against Carlton.
Don't let Petrie's average of 85 scare away a potential trade. Due to only 15,273 teams owning the key forward, he can be a unique choice in the home stretch with the capability to give your team the edge needed in a close game.
Brent Harvey is another long-time DT selection who could prove valuable. While Harvey has experienced his fair share of ups and downs, his DT output has remained consistent. He’s only had one score less than 73 in 2012; compare that to his seven scores over 90 and it's clear Harvey, like Petrie, can be helpful.
Moving from the forwards to the rucks, Todd Goldstein is the player to look out for. While his last three weeks have been quiet from a fantasy perspective, it's only a matter of time before his contributions on-field translate to Dream Team.
Goldstein's last game against Melbourne netted him the three Brownlow votes for a monster outing which included 26 disposals, 2 goals and 30 hit-outs. If something similar occurs again on Saturday afternoon, the 136-point effort could be replicated.
Captain Andrew Swallow is the pick of the North players in the midfield with his average a tick more than 100 for the season. The incredibly consistent midfielder can be relied upon for a serviceable score at the very least every week.
In the 16 games Swallow has played this season, he's only scored less than 85 twice. He also leads the competition in total tackles with 110 and at four points apiece, they'll be worth their weight in gold in future weeks.
