The mature age rookie bagged eight goals for Werribee in the VFL on Saturday and could be in line for a recall on Saturday at Etihad Stadium when the Kangaroos play the Swans.

An eight goal second term gave Werribee the ascendency over the Northern Bullants and it was Pedersen who proved the difference.

Ben McKinley was also among the goals with four, while rookie Matthew Scott was just as impressive in the win.

Superior percentage has seen the Tigers leap-frog North Ballarat into sixth place.

Here's how Werribee coach Paul Satterley described the performances of North Melbourne's players:

Cameron Pedersen (15 possessions, five marks, eight goals)
"Kicked eight straight and was totally dominant at centre-half forward. He was a major reason why the side had a good win against a quality opposition."

Matthew Scott (20 possessions, one goal):
"Played his role and is now getting on the scoreboard. Had a purple patch early in the game creating goals for his teammates. Showed some good acceleration and composure with the ball."

Majak Daw (eight possessions, 29 hit-outs, five tackles, one goal)
"Kicked a great goal from near impossible angle. Did really well against Hampson who is seven centimetres taller. He provided our midfielders with first use at stoppages and was very influential in his second efforts."

Levi Greenwood (16 possessions, four clearances)
"Played off half-back early before really impacting the game in the second half. Was running just as hard at the end of the game. Good signs for North fans."

Ben McKinley (14 possessions, four goals)
"Straightened up our game and finished with 4 majors which could have easily been 6 or 7. He looked very dangerous in any one on one situation."

Ben Ross (19 possessions, three clearances, one goal)
"Back to his lively self after a couple of quieter games."

Gavin Urquhart (17 possessions, four inside 50's)
"Started up forward and looked lively. His use of the ball by foot has been very effective."

Robbie Tarrant (15 possessions, four marks, one goal)
"Showed great composure on numerous occasions and has clearly gained confidence in his marking. His highlight was a courageous mark going back with the flight and was very effective with his ball use."

Ben Warren (Nine possessions, two goals)
"Kicked two clever goals and looked lively before receiving a bone-crunching tackle and going off with concussion prior to half-time. Had played well to that point."
