kangaroos.com.au says

Adams announced himself to the football world in 2012 with his determination, courage and high level of skill. Although highly regarded at North, the midfielder’s year was brutally cut short following several shoulder injuries and a few dislocations.

In Round 2, he had a career-high 37 disposals in the thumping win over the Giants but as the Kangaroos' form dipped, so did Adams'. When North exploded back into contention with the win over Adelaide, Adams was right there in amongst it.

In back to back weeks he collected a combined 58 possessions and 5 goals to be one of North's best. However it was at about this stage his shoulders started to become a problem and it was the most scrutinised body part in Australia following the Chris Judd chicken wing incident in Round 16.

From one shoulder to another, they both kept causing Adams grief and after yet another dislocation against Essendon in Round 20, the decision was made to send the number 13 in for surgery.

Martin Blake (The Age)

"The way he plays his footy, he's really important to us"
Brad Scott
