2007
In: Pick 37 (Scott Thompson)
Out: Brad Moran (Adelaide)

Brad Moran burst onto the scene with a Rising Star nomination in his very first game after 21 disposals and 10 hitouts. However he was unable to push on and was traded to Adelaide at the end of his second season.

With pick 37, North was able to take Scott Thompson from Geelong's VFL side. After a slow start in the blue and white Thompson became a first team regular from the beginning of 2009 and has never looked back, while Moran only played 18 games in three years at the Crows.
