Brayshaw: “A positive start”
More than 100 members have already signed up to win $10,000 following the recent launch of the club’s Target 10,000 campaign.
The initiative, designed to encourage current members to sign non-members up for 2013, features chairman James Brayshaw and has been well received.
“It’s a great incentive and fantastic idea,” Brayshaw told kangaroos.com.au.
“If we’re going to reach our goal of 40,000 members in total by 2014, we need to find at least 10,000 new ones and all our supporters can help us get there.”
There are just days remaining until the first monthly prizes are handed out and the lucky winners could receive a table for ten in the Premiership Club room at a home game, two change room passes or a $100 Roo Shop gift voucher.
With the current membership tally sitting at more than 10,600, Brayshaw says it’s been a positive start for the Roos.
“The Troo Roo for Life membership program has been a fantastic addition and to see more than 10,000 on the board already is really encouraging,” he added.
However the biggest push is about to begin with membership renewal letters set to land in supporters’ letterboxes early next week.
“We already know we’ve got Collingwood at home in Round One next year,” Brayshaw said.
“So, seats are going to be in demand. It’s important that all our people sign up early, find us some new members and secure a seat.”
