Director of Medical Services Steve Saunders said Tarrant is tracking well but won’t be right to play after he was unable to complete North’s main training session yet again.
“Robbie’s making steady progress but we think he needs one more week,” Saunders told NMFC.com.au.
“He should be right to have a full week on the training track next week and then he’ll be available for selection for round seven.”
Meanwhile Lachie Hansen has been cleared and is available for selection against the Power.
“Lachie presented really well at training today and we’re happy with his progress. We’ll just see how he pulls up tomorrow but so far we think he’s likely to be available.”
First year player Taylor Garner won’t return to the North Ballarat side just yet as he recovers from an ankle injury.
“Taylor’s going to need another week. His ankle still has a lot of swelling in it,” Saunders said.
“The swelling hasn’t cleared as quickly as we would have liked, so while that’s there, it gets in the way of a normal training load and will need another week before he’s back to full training.”
North’s US recruit Eric Wallace is still another few weeks away from making a return to the VFL but is improving steadily.
“Eric’s doing really well, he did some nice running today and we’ll make sure he pulls up well from that before progressing his training further next week.
“He’s still probably a couple of weeks away, we can take it slowly with him. He should return to full training in the next two weeks.
