Harvey's words to Lindsay Thomas were particularly prophetic, telling the forward to 'keep hitting up...you'll get your shots on (goal).'
Encouragement to Aaron Mullett was also taken on board, Boomer telling the left footer to 'look inside...you're one of the kicks that can do it.'
Mullett ended up earning a NAB Rising Star nomination from the game, collecting 20 disposals, 6 marks and kicking a goal on the afternoon.
The coaching wasn't restricted to the younger players, with Harvey imploring Daniel Wells and Andrew Swallow at half-time to keep the run going and complimenting the duo on their games so far.
It was a fascinating insight into the mind of a man who remains one of North's most important players, even at 34 years of age.
