North Melbourne’s leaders will be aiming to get a new perspective on all the big issues on Tuesday night with the club’s Board members holding their monthly meeting aboard the Spirit of Tasmania.

The initiative, designed to support and promote one of North’s premier partners, has the full support of Chairman James Brayshaw.

“I think it’s a great idea and ties in well with the close relationship we share with the Spirit of Tasmania.  We are all looking forward to it.”

The Roos’ Board normally meets at Aegis Park but Brayshaw said the group jumped at the chance to change things up and set sail.

“It’s very different and I think it goes to show that we, as a club, are prepared to support those who have supported us throughout the year.

“Spirit was and is integral to us playing games in Hobart and along with our other key stakeholders, ensured the deal to play up to two games in Tasmania became a reality back in 2012.”

Brayshaw will be joined by fellow directors Mark Brayshaw, Ben Buckley, Carl Dilena, Julie Laycock, Geoff Lewis and Brady Scanlon on board the ship and will be treated with a special invitation from the captain to visit the bridge.

“The plan is to have our meeting and then enjoy dinner at The Leatherwood restaurant and just relax until we arrive in Devonport in the morning.”
