It’s season over for Majak Daw with the club’s medical team booking him in for knee surgery.

The forward/ruck has been carefully and successfully managing a slight knee issue throughout the year, but North believes the time is now right for a PCL reconstruction.

Daw is expected to be on the sidelines for up to six months and the club has opted to take the approach with his long term future and health the primary concern.

The 22-year old made his debut for the Kangaroos in Round 4 against Brisbane and kicked a career-high six goals against the Bulldogs in Round 7.

Daw will have the operation on Friday afternoon.
