His match-winning goal has been overshadowed by some individual moments of brilliance this week, but Aaron Black can look back on the moment fondly.

The up-and-coming forward was on the end of a great piece of play from Daniel Wells in the second half of Friday night’s NAB Cup match against Richmond, and was faced with one last chance to win the game for his team.

"As I took the mark, I was going back and Scotty McMahon told me just kick them like you were in the warm-ups.

"And I thought well, if I do that I'll miss them all because I went about 0 from four so I kind of blocked that out.”

Black’s relaxed approach paid dividends - the kick went straight through the middle, allowing the Kangaroos a last-gasp victory.
