Scott McMahon back in stride
Scott McMahon will turn out for Werribee on Sunday against Casey Scorpions.
After a trip to Perth on Tuesday night for the Foxtel Cup, a game in which he had limited game-time, McMahon was still in contention for the Roos’ clash against Brisbane. Ultimately the travel arrangements and match fitness conspired against the defender.
Nevertheless, another outing in the VFL will give him the opportunity to further find form after a three week stint on the sidelines.
Majak Daw’s head knock against East Fremantle hasn’t prevented the newly re-signed Roo from being named.
As the Tigers will be playing their second game in five days, the bigger bodies of the North-listed players will become more and more vital as Sunday afternoon rolls on. Jordie Gysberts and Ben Speight’s run through the middle will complement Jarred Moore who also returns to the side.
Werribee currently sits in seventh position while Casey is second with a 9-2 win loss record.
North Ballarat has the week off, sitting outside the top eight by percentage at the halfway mark of the season.
