Saturday morning (Utah time) and while most people would have been enjoying a sleep-in, the North team was up bright and early for a conditioning session.

Liberty Park in Salt Lake City played host to the players for the morning, as freezing temperatures set in.

The beanies and hoodies were out in force, but not for long as Nutrition and Conditioning Coach Jona Segal announced running was on the cards.

Setting off in their individual groups, the players battled the elements and pushed through four 1.7 kilometre laps of the park, with five minute breaks between sets.

In the front group, Sam Gibson and Ryan Bastinac set the pace as always, while new recruit Robbie Nahas ran alongside the likes of Brent Harvey and Ben Jacobs.

The former Tiger spoke of the challenges he faced working through the pain.

"I can barely feel my hands or my nose, so I feel sorry for the boys who had to do it without any gloves on,” he told NMFC.com.au.

Nahas says he has enjoyed his first week at his new club immensely.

"I didn’t expect it to be this cold and this hard to breathe; the lungs are burning every day. But it’s been great getting to know the boys."

The players will enjoy a day off on Sunday before taking to the track again for skills on Monday.
