North all a-Board
North’s Board will start its next meeting in Victoria and finish in Tasmania.
The club has decided to conduct its October 15 meeting on the Spirit of Tasmania, operated by club major sponsor TT-Line.
Chief executive Carl Dilena said the unique location was chosen to demonstrate the club's support for the business.
"We are promoting the Spirit with our members and the general public and thought it would be a great idea for us to get together as a board and make the journey ourselves," he said.
He did not expect the Bass Strait crossing to affect the flow of the meeting.
"There may be some nautical jokes, and I'll see if I can borrow a skipper's cap for James, but the board meeting content will be the same."
After breakfast with Spirit of Tasmania chief executive Charles Griplas, president James Brayshaw will head straight back to Melbourne for radio commitments.
