Every Wednesday, we'll be heading into the archive to recap some of the great games throughout North Melbourne's rich history.
This week, we take you back to 2014, and a classic match against the Sydney Swans at the SCG.
After almost ten years since their last win at the SCG, it's little wonder North Melbourne went in as underdogs against Sydney early in 2014.
A premiership in 2012, followed by a Preliminary Final in 2013 meant the Swans were still well and truly considered among the best teams in the competition.
The Roos on the other hand were full of hope, keen to atone for a season of missed opportunities the year previous, with heartbreaking losses on more than a couple of occasions.
With two wins from their first three games, North boasted a mix of emerging youngsters like Luke McDonald, Aaron Black, Aaron Mullett and Ben Jacobs, while Brent Harvey, Drew Petrie and Daniel Wells led from the front.
Heading back to Round 4, 2014 for today's #WaybackWednesday, and a clash in enemy territory against Sydney.

The addition of some more experienced talent like Nick Dal Santo and Robbie Nahas added to the Roos' depth, and there was plenty of reason for optimism at Arden Street.
But overcoming Lance Franklin, Josh Kennedy, Luke Parker and a host of stars would be no easy task.
The rain pelted down at the SCG, as North looked to take four points back down the highway.
