Footy Prophet will be NMFC.com.au's AFL Fantasy gurus for 2014. You can follow the team on Twitter and Facebook.

A gutsy win by the club over Port Adelaide was reflected in the fantasy scores last weekend, and North's players will look to bring that form into this week’s important game against Sydney.

Seven Kangaroos managed a fantasy ton last week (100+ points) led by Levi Greenwood with 147.

The team is playing a fantasy-friendly brand of footy and will look to do this again when they travel north to Sydney.

The SCG is one of the smallest grounds in the country and will suit players that love to tackle; Leigh Adams, Luke McDonald, Ben Cunnington and Greenwood all managed 7 or more tackles last week.

On the other side of the field, Sydney managed their first win of the year last week, knocking over Adelaide by 63 points. The Swans were led by Luke Parker (121 fantasy points) and Lance Franklin (113) who booted 8 goals between them, but only managed one more fantasy ton (Kieren Jack, 101).

Drew Petrie’s likely opponent this week, Ted Richards, has not been in great form. Richards allowed James Podsiadly to get off the leash last week to rack up 9 marks and 105 fantasy points, while Jeremy Cameron kicked four on him in Round 1.

Petrie as the stand-in captain will be eager to bounce back from a quiet opening few rounds and assert himself on this game.

Keep an eye on Brad McKenzie this week. He’s slowly been building up his fantasy numbers, with scores of 58, 75 and 81 over the first three rounds. He’s priced awkwardly at $287,665 but may be in line for a breakout year.

ET: Around the grounds
Dane Swan has a chance to silence the critics tonight against Richmond. He hasn’t exactly been poor, he’s just been a long way off what we have come to expect from him. Along with Dayne Beams, the midfield pair have been spotted spending time up forward in recent weeks, which has stifled their fantasy production.

As has been well documented, Carlton were poor last week, but midfield duo Marc Murphy and Dale Thomas seem to be building back to their best form. Both are still underpriced in AFL Fantasy Classic, so if you have them – hold. A fantasy friendly game against Melbourne should see them increase in value this week.

Matt Crouch is a must-buy this week. At just $211,725 and in the team again, he will find the footy and shoot up in price.

If you’re a Paul Chapman owner, make sure you have a playing emergency. There has been speculation all week that he won’t play in Perth, so be prepared for the late withdrawal situation.

Hawks defender Matt Suckling is still only $361,124. If you’re looking for an underpriced star and you missed the boat, jump on now.
