Key match-ups
1. Wallace v Orren Stephenson
"Eric probably got done in the hit-outs statistically but he had a really terrific last quarter and pretty solid last half." - Senior Development Coach Gavin Brown

Story of the game
"Richmond came out pretty strongly in the first half, they looked really solid. They were moving the ball really well and it was a bit of an arm wrestle actually.

"Fitzy (coach Gerard Fitzgerald) had a bit of a chat to the boys at half time about a couple of the things we wanted to try and do, particularly with the way the wind was blowing across the ground, he wanted to get the ball on the open side so we could score a bit more easily.

"10 minutes to go in the second quarter we got going a bit, then our third quarter was solid. Before the last quarter Fitzy reminded them about the previous few weeks where we've come back really strongly, particularly against Box Hill and Casey and he urged them to draw upon that.

"Then gee-whizz! It was a 10 goal last quarter, it was incredible. We controlled the game, controlled everything about it and put it on the scoreboard. It was a pretty incredible effort. We only had four players playing but they were all pretty solid." - Gavin Brown

Points of Interest
1. "Liam (Anthony) had a lot of clearances, worked really hard and won plenty of inside ball while being heavily tagged and sat on. He went in there with the right attitude after coming back to North Ballarat since he worked very hard to make it back into the seniors, which was a credit to him. You would have to say he was the best of the four." - Gavin Brown

2. "Maxy (Warren) was terrific. He had a really bad corked leg against Casey last week and they didn't think he was going to come up, but he was really diligent to get himself right. He went down to the beach just about every night last week. It was a terrific effort for him to get himself up and going and he was really solid down back today." - Gavin Brown

3. "Eric (Wallace) was really quiet in the first half but he really got going in the second half. He took a really important mark to kick in and setup a goal, then intercepted a mark and put one through himself in the last quarter which was a bit of an icing on the cake sort of job. He got involved around the ground which was really pleasing." - Gavin Brown

4. "Mitch (Wilkins) in bits and pieces of the game was terrific. He predominately played on a wing and a little up forward and gave a bit of drive as well. He's had a little bit of an up and down season but last week and this week he's shown glimpses of the player we think he can be." - Gavin Brown

5. North Ballarat notched up its sixth win in a row and is sixth on the VFL ladder, on equal points (24) with the Werribee Tigers.
