AFLCA: Harvey hits the front
19 seasons after his debut, Brent Harvey is still one of the game’s most damaging players.
While he couldn’t get his side over the line on Saturday night, the 36-year-old certainly did his best.
Handed three votes by Brad Scott and Brenton Sanderson in the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year, Harvey finished with 31 disposals and two quality goals.
Now up to 36 votes for the year, the number 29 has moved ahead of Ben Cunnington on the North leaderboard.
One of the Kangaroos’ most improved players this year, Levi Greenwood polled another vote to take his tally up to 26.
The midfielder finished with 32 disposals and a goal, and now boasts an incredible 30-possession average over the past six weeks.
Six Adelaide players shared the remainder of the votes.
