North Melbourne is ‘In It Together’ with club partners and businesses of members and fans during the COVID-19 lockdown period.

The club is encouraging its people to support businesses within our North community, with the campaign partnered by PSC Insurance Brokers. To make it easier to see who is doing what, North has created a directory and is asking those interested to register their business details, so the club can offer promotion on its website and social media channels.

North’s Robbie Tarrant visited long-term coterie member Dave Trumino at his Superior Tyres outlet in Kensington to show his support during a challenging time for all businesses.

“It’s obviously a difficult time for many people so on behalf of the club, I’m here to support Dave and the team at Superior Tyres who have been great supporters of the footy club,” Tarrant said.

“My Mazda needed a tyre change anyway and it’s a good time to get all of those little jobs done, whilst also supporting the local community in a time of need.”

North CEO, Ben Amarfio, said offering help and support to the club’s network was the least it could do.

“It’s vital that we give back, and North has always been a club that is there for its members and supporters in times of need,” Amarfio said.

“We are passionate about our community and we pride ourselves on being a family. That’s not just the players, coaches and staff, but all of our members, fans and supporters across the country.

“If we can play a small part in driving some customers to these businesses that are still operational or planning to open when restrictions are lifted, then we are very keen to do it.

“We truly are in it together at this time and I think this is when we will see the best of each other.  Indications are we will be back playing footy sooner rather than later but in the meantime, we encourage everyone to get out and support these local businesses where possible.
