The Roos are riding high after their second win in a row and a ‘complete’ performance against the Tigers makes things tough for those hoping to break into the side.

Scott McMahon

A trip to Perth for the Foxtel Cup with Werribee isn’t the ideal preparation but the experienced defender only played limited game-time in the sloppy Perth conditions with a view to keeping him fresh for a possible trip to Brisbane.

Coming off an ankle injury, the number 42 is considered a member of the Roos’ best 22 but fell out of the side with ankle injury a few weeks back.

Liam Anthony

The hard running midfielder collected 32 disposals in North Ballarat’s last outing and finds himself in familiar territory; on the cusp of selection.

Luke Delaney

The Gabba is where Delaney made a name for himself playing on Jonathan Brown and would experience a sense of déjà vu if selected. 19 touches and 9 marks for the Roosters gives him some serious credits but it will be a challenge to dislodge a current North defender.

Will Sierakowski

Valiant in the wet on Tuesday night for Werribee, Sierakowski’s efforts wouldn’t have gone unnoticed around the match committee table but a short turnaround will be difficult to overcome.

Majak Daw

Like also the Werribee boys who travelled to Perth, time is a significant factor going against  their chances of selection. For Daw, the fact he was slightly concussed in the second quarter makes a return almost unfathomable.

Ben Jacobs

Down on his usual output in the VFL, Jacobs collected 21 touches but just one clearance.

Taylor Garner

Inaccuracy meant Garner finished with four behinds for the Roosters.  Had he kicked straight, he may have been the number one player in contention for a spot.  While his tackling pressure was good, he was a little quieter than normal according to Josh Drummond.
