The first quarter
18.30 remaining: Robbie Tarrant drops an easy mark, but the crumbs are gathered by Lindsay Thomas who has the presence of mind to snap to the square. Hamish McIntosh is on the end of it and kicks the first GOAL of the day. North by 7.
10.45 remaining - From a content, Andrew Swallow dishes a handball to Brent Harvey. Harvey runs inside 50 and slots an easy GOAL. North by 15.
10.00 remaining - The Suns move the ball forward. Sam Day and Scott Thompson are in a one-on-one inside 50. Neither is able to mark, but the umpire plucks a free kick for a push. Day kicks the Suns’ first GOAL. North by 9.
6.20 remaining - North continues to pepper the goals at the Lockett End. This time, Kieran Harper does brilliantly to get around an opponent, but kicks the Kangaroos' EIGHTH BEHIND for the term.
6.00 remaining - Ben Cunnington reaps the rewards of an errant kick-in with an easy mark straight in front of goal. He breaks the streak of points with a set shot GOAL. North by 17.
5.25 remaining - Harley Bennnell gives the travelling fans something to celebrate with a great dribbling GOAL. North by 11.
4.15 remaining - EARLY CONTROVERSY with the first VIDEO REVIEW of the day. The Suns' shot on goal looks like it's gone through, but the review rules it has hit the post. North by 10.
3.40 remaining - Hamish McIntosh's centering kick can't be marked. Lindsay Thomas does the roving and kicks a CLEVER GOAL on his opposite foot. North by 16.
0.20 remaining - North turns the ball over on its half-forward line. The Suns bang it forward with only seconds remaining. Dion Prestia and Shaun Atley are the only men chasing. 6.10 remaining - Lindsay Thomas restores some pride for North Melbourne after a disappointing first half with his second GOAL. North by 4.
5.35 remaining - The scoreboard continues to see-saw as David Swallow slots his first GOAL with his 12th possession. Gold Coast by 2.

17.00 remaining - Some good pressure from the Kangaroos results in a turnover. Daniel Wells taps cleverly to Aaron Mullett who dishes a handball. Harper kicks his second GOAL of the day. North by 10.
13.00 remaining - The Suns are unable to get the ball outside their defensive arc. North's PRESSURE IS RELENTLESS in the early stages of the third term.
10.45 remaining - One of NORTH'S BEST PERFORMERS in the match, Jamie Macmillan hits Aaron Edwards inside 50 with his 18th disposal. Edwards, who's come into the match in the third term, kicks his second GOAL. North by 28.
10.20 remaining - Andrew Swallow cops a heavy knock in the middle and goes down. He's HELPED FROM THE GROUND by the North trainers. From the middle, the Kangaroos move the ball forward. Leigh Adams cops a high tackle on the 50m line and kicks North's FIFTH GOAL OF THE TERM. North by 34.
6.45 remaining - Against the flow of play, Luke Russell gets one back for the Suns to reduce the margin with a terrific GOAL from a tight angle on the run . North by 28.
4.49 remaining - Kieran Harper kicks cleverly around the corner. Hamish McIntosh handballs to Brent Harvey who gets it to Leigh Adams. The number 13 snaps a GOAL. North by 34.

13.50 remaining - Drew Petrie lays a terrific tackle on Zac Smith and is rewarded with a free kick. His long kick inside gives Aaron Edwards the chance to FLY HIGH and pull down a big grab. North by 47.
