Channel 9’s Sunday Footy Show handball competition comes to an end on Sunday with Jamie Macmillan and Melbourne’s Matthew Bate through to the final. However, North’s young defender has been double booked and will miss out on taking home a potential first prize of $10,000 cash.
The 19-year old is holidaying in Thailand with team-mates and will be unable to compete. Instead, he has called in Scott McMahon to handball in his place.
It’s a risky move with his replacement unproven on the handball stage. But McMahon is confident of coming through.
“It’s in the bag,” McMahon told kangaroos.com.au.
“Jamie won’t be getting the full amount though when I win. There will be a significant fee for my services.”
The contest will be aired live on Sunday from 11.00am.
