North Melbourne ruckman Todd Goldstein has been offered a $1000 fine by the MRP.
The 26-year-old was involved in a clash with Fremantle forward Hayden Ballantyne in the third quarter and was charged with striking.
“Based on the video evidence available and a medical report from the Fremantle Football Club, it was the view of the panel the incident should be classified as careless conduct with low impact to the head. The offence was classified as a $1500 sanction. The player has no applicable bad record. An early plea can reduce the penalty to a $1000 sanction,” the MRP’s ruling stated.
Goldstein and the club have until Tuesday to decide whether to accept the fine.
