North Melbourne's Ben Brown says he feels "indebted" to the club, and has every intention of signing a new deal.
While contract negotiations across the league have been put on hold during the current pandemic, the key-forward is keen to commit, once normality is restored.
"I'm pretty happy with how it (a new contract) was progressing," Brown told Nine News.
"I definitely still feel indebted to North Melbourne for giving me the opportunity, where a lot of clubs wouldn't have."
Brown has booted 280 goals in 122 games, since being drafted in 2013.
Pick 47 at the time, he's fast become of the Roos' most important players.
And while that famous run-up is certainly being missed out on the field at the moment, there's still plenty of time to practice.
"It's a little different than your goal-kicking at Arden Street or Marvel Stadium, but a set of goal posts is a set of goal posts," Brown added.
Ben Brown is hoping to become a Kangaroo for life, once football finally resumes. Like the game itself, contract talks have been put on hold, but the forward has no doubt where his future lies. @cstanaway #9News pic.twitter.com/bAT80PgI3v
