Although North has had a growing injury list in recent weeks, things now appear to be on looking up.
The Roos are close to welcoming back key players, making team selection an extremely open affair.
Have your say on any potential changes below.
Midfielders
The big inclusion could be Daniel Wells. After making an appearance on the training track during Wednesday’s main session, all that’s left is for the match committee to determine whether the veteran has shown enough to come back into the side.
A recall would be especially sweet this week for Wells. He’s missed Indigenous Round in the last two years due to injury.
While Ryan Clarke continues to impress, Brad Scott suggested the youngster would be unlikely to make an AFL debut against the Swans.
Defenders
Sam Wright has missed the last three wins because of an ankle injury suffered early in Round 6 against the Western Bulldogs. The defender is in the same situation as Wells, having trained on Wednesday.
However, the form of the half-backs in the team – the likes of Aaron Mullett and Brad McKenzie – has been very solid, raising the question of who would make way if Wright is to come straight into the side.
Lachlan Hansen will also have to pass a concussion test to be cleared to play, but with no VFL this weekend he may have one more week off.
Forwards
The North coach told the media Mason Wood would ‘definitely be in the 25, no doubt’ on Wednesday. The 22-year-old missed last weekend while recovering from a concussion sustained in Round 8, but appears ready to return.
Elsewhere small forwards Taylor Garner and Jed Anderson are edging closer to a return, but are likely to wait another week at least.
