Jack Ziebell has declared himself ready to go for round one, after emerging unscathed from a VFL practice match on Saturday.
On the comeback trail from a calf injury, the North Melbourne skipper played two and a half quarters in the Roos' clash against Collingwood, impressing through the midfield.
Ziebell got the opening clearance of the game, and set the tone with his work at the coalface, helping his team to a plus-16 differential in contested possessions at one point.
The number 7 went forward in the third quarter, outmuscling an opponent and pulling down a strong mark, before kicking truly.
With his work done, Ziebell put the tracksuit on soon after.
"See you next week," his final words for the day.
With enough game-time under his belt and a goal, Ziebs is done for the day. ???? pic.twitter.com/Nu33yWOiQF
