Jared Polec is confident of a return in North Melbourne’s final Marsh Community Series clash against Sydney.
The classy wingman has been sidelined throughout much of the pre-season due to a foot injury, but is getting back to full fitness at the perfect time.
“A little hotspot appeared just before Christmas, and we took a really conservative approach with it,” Polec revealed to North Media.
“I was in a moon boot for a few days, and then off legs for three weeks and gradually let the bone heal a bit. We then stimulated the bone to get it back strong again and ready to play.”
North doesn’t play in Hobart until next Monday, giving Polec extra time to prove himself on the training track.
“I’m looking forward to playing a game next week,” he said.
“I’ll play hopefully a half … I’m pushing for a bit more.”
