New recruit Aiden Bonar says he and his teammates have been inspired by the amazing return of Majak Daw.
After four VFL games last year, Daw played his first AFL game since Round 23, 2018, in Friday night’s Marsh Series opener.
“He is a great character. When I came to the club (late last year), I loved him from the first day. He is a really good fellow,” Bonar told The Herald Sun.
“It was good to see him clunking a few marks.”
Daw played 79 per cent game time in his return, and looked comfortable in defence.
“It was really pleasing to see him back,” Rhyce Shaw said.
“It’s been a long time for him out of the game. I thought he did a couple of good things and worked his way into the game.”
