Majak Daw’s health and wellbeing will continue to be paramount to any potential comeback, according to North Melbourne GM of Football, Brady Rawlings.
Daw has made steady progress at training, participating in “nearly all sessions” throughout the pre-season, but won’t be rushed back.
“We’ve had to manage a little bit of his time over a period, but clearly our focus has been around his health and wellbeing, and we think we’ve got some really good support around him there,” Rawlings said on Sportsday WA.
“Clearly now that he’s going quite well, we’re keen to get him up and going to potentially help our side going forward, but there’s no great expectation on him either.
“Clearly what he’s gone through, we want to take it day-by-day and week-by-week.
“As long as we’ve got the options down back, through a multitude of players, that’s what we’re about.”
Daw played four games at VFL level in July last year, before suffering a hamstring injury and missing the remainder of the season.
