Last year, we asked you to vote on your North Melbourne Team of the 2010s, and the results are in.
Players were deemed eligible if they had played in 50 games, or won a Syd Barker Medal during the decade.
And from thousands of votes, your best 22 have been selected.
We’ve seen the defence and midfield, and now we take a look at the forwards.
Jack Ziebell
North Melbourne games - 210 (162 goals)
Although he has played the majority of his career in the midfield, Ziebell has shown his ability to hit the scoreboard when moving forward.
Ziebell spent the majority of the 2018 season in the forward line to great effect, kicking 35 goals.
The 28-year-old will enter his fourth season as North captain in 2020.
Drew Petrie
North Melbourne games - 316 (428 goals)
With the second-most games in the royal blue and white stripes, and sixth-most goals, Petrie is one of the Roos’ favourite sons.
The number 20 led North’s goal kicking charts five times, including four seasons in the 2010s, and was named in the All Australian team in 2011.
Petrie departed the club in 2016, playing one final AFL season for West Coast in 2017 before retiring.
Jarrad Waite
North Melbourne games - 60 (125 goals)
Waite joined North in 2015, and was an immediate success, booting 42 goals in 23 games as the Roos made the preliminary final.
Injuries affected the final three seasons of his career, but his importance to the side can’t be understated, averaging more than two goals a game.
Waite retired at the end of the 2018 season.
Lindsay Thomas
North Melbourne games - 205 (325 goals)
One of the Roos’ best ever small forwards, Thomas was a reliable goal sneak capable of the spectacular.
Thomas booted an impressive 325 goals in 205 games, and led the club’s goal-kicking in 2010 and 2013.
He moved to Port Adelaide for one final season in 2018, before calling time on his career.
Ben Brown
North Melbourne games - 121 (279 goals)
After being overlooked in three national drafts before being selected by the Roos in 2013, Brown has developed into one of the most dangerous and consistent forwards in the AFL.
2019 saw Brown kick 60-plus goals for the third consecutive season, including a career-high 10 v Port Adelaide in Round 22.
Having just turned 27, the 2020s will likely be another decade full of goals for Brown.
Brent Harvey
North Melbourne games - 432 (517 goals)
AFL games-record holder (432), second most goals in North’s history (517) and five Syd Barker Medals; not much else needs to be said about Harvey’s inclusion.
Brilliant in either the midfield or forward line, Harvey spent the later part of his career close to the goals.
‘Boomer’ retired at the end of 2016, and is now part of the Roos’ coaching team.
