In the Mix: North Melbourne v Adelaide
Will Brad Scott look to make changes to find a winning combination?
The Kangaroos went tall to quell the impact of West Coast’s forwards, and while Adelaide is without Taylor Walker, the likes of Josh Jenkins and Tom Lynch are getting the job done which could make for a similar approach at match committee.
NMFC.com.au looks at those in contention for a call-up should changes be made.
Have your say on the potential changes below.
Will Sierakowski
Perhaps an unlucky omission from the side last week, Sierakowski did enough to suggest he’s comfortable at the level in his two games.
Luke Delaney
Always strong in the contest, Delaney has found form in the VFL in recent weeks. If North opts to play Lachlan Hansen forward, there could be a role for the big defender.
Levi Greenwood
Arguably the player who has shown the best form without earning a call-up.
Hard at it and relentless, Greenwood may be looked at as a tagging option with the likes of Scott Thompson, Patrick Dangerfield and the underrated Richard Douglas all dangerous in the midfield.
Ben Jacobs
The midfielder didn’t have one of his better games for North Ballarat, but his previous performances warrant consideration. Playing more on the inside, Jacobs has looked confident and will be desperate for another opportunity to prove himself.
Taylor Hine
A late withdrawal against the Bulldogs, Hine missed out against West Coast as a travelling emergency. Used as a sub in his last senior outing, the former Sun could be suited to a stopping role on a resting Crows’ midfielder who pushes forward.
Jordan Gysberts
Another of North’s off-season recruits, Gysberts has taken some time but looks to be finding his feet at a new club. A proven ball-winner, he may have to wait a little longer given the good form of North’s on-ball brigade.
Liam Anthony
A regular for most of last season, Anthony has fallen out of favour after some quieter games. The number four may need to prove himself at VFL level to be considered for a recall.
