Date of birth: 2/2/91
Height: 188cm
Weight: 84kg
Club: Murray/Wodonga Bulldogs
Bio: A medium midfielder, Ziebell is an excellent kick, an exceptional decision maker and is great in the contest. An AIS/AFL Academy graduate and a Vic Country under-18 representative in 2008, he won All-Australian honours.
Jason McCartney says: Jack Ziebell is potentially an AFL captain. He isn't the quickest player, but he reads the play extremely well, he's great around stoppages, he's a good kick and he sees the game so well. He marks going back into packs, he smothers, tackles – the whole package – and he just reeks of leadership.

In his own words
What sort of player are you?
I play mostly in the midfield but also a bit up forward and down back. I’d like to think I’m an inside player. I try to get a few hard balls and dish it out to the players who can run and carry it and bounce.
Strengths?
Probably my head over the ball and having clean hands under pressure.
Weaknesses?
Fitness. If I want to play in the middle at the top level I’m going to have to work on that.
Which AFL team did you support?
Collingwood
Which AFL player do you feel you most resemble?
I played as a forward pretty much all through my junior career and modelled myself on Jonathan Brown, but I’ve changed roles a bit so not really him now. When I was at Collingwood (on AIS/AFL Academy duties) it was great being alongside blokes like Scott Pendlebury. He was close to the hardest worker and just does everything at 100 per cent and tries to improve at everything, in every way.
