Jack Ziebell did everything in his power to keep North in the game on Saturday, and his efforts haven’t gone unnoticed.
Leon Cameron and Brad Scott gave Ziebell five votes in the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year, after the North captain racked up 28 disposals, 9 clearances and 5 tackles at Blundstone Arena.
Emerging ruckman Braydon Preuss and Giants’ veteran Shane Mumford played out a fascinating duel, and were rewarded with one and two votes respectively.
Preuss finished with 16 disposals, 26 hit-outs, 9 marks and two goals in his best performance to date.
Josh Kelly (10 votes) and Callan Ward (7 votes) were the top vote-getters on the day.
