The young pups out at the kennel could receive a boost with Matthew Boyd and Liam Picken set to return for the clash with North Melbourne on Saturday.
The experienced pair didn't travel to Perth last week to play the Eagles, and Bulldogs General Manager of Football Graham Lowe said they would progress through training this week.
“Both Matthew and Liam have come through and come into the start of this week really well and got through what they needed to over the weekend so there’s some really good signs," he said.
“We certainly need to train them on the back end of the week but signs are really good for them to be fit and available for this weekend.”
There are concerns over Jarrad Grant however, after he suffered a broken nose following a heavy knock.
“Jarrad had a heavy collision in the match and he came off with a broken nose," Lowe said.
"We’ll monitor him this week and assuming he ticks all the boxes he needs to, he’ll be available for selection this weekend.”
An achilles issue saw defender Dale Morris subbed out of the West Coast game but the Bulldogs expect him to expected be available for selection.
“Dale had a bit of achilles aggravation in one of his legs, we just wanted to manage him conservatively through that," Lowe added.
“He’s come in well this week, he’s presented well today and he’ll get through training this week with a view to being available for selection this weekend.”
Lowe said defender Michael Talia rolled his ankle in the match but played out the match.
“Michael rolled his ankle during the game, he played out the game and we just want to make sure we give him every opportunity we can to present himself to make himself available to play this week, so we’re just managing him in the right ways."
