Fremantle captain Matthew Pavlich has been ruled out of Sunday’s clash against North Melbourne.

Dockers’ general manager of football operations Chris Bond revealed soreness in Pavlich’s left Achilles would prevent him from making the trip east.

“Although Matthew will miss Sunday’s game, we are hopeful that he will be available for selection next week,” Bond told Fremantle’s official club website.

“We will monitor the situation over the course of the week. We will then be in better position to make a decision about Matthew’s availability.”

Fremantle will already be without key defender Alex Silvagni, suspended for four matches after striking West Coast’s Jamie Cripps.
