A win on Sunday against Fremantle will see North Melbourne record seven wins a row for the first time since 1999 - the season it won its fourth and most recent premiership.

That year, the Roos went on a rampage blitzing their opposition with two significant runs of victories.

The first streak came between Rounds 5 and 14 when North won 10 straight games before running into the Bulldogs at the MCG. Chris Grant’s six goal haul proved too much for the Roos to handle and resulted in a big 42-point defeat (108-150).

Just three games later, the Roos would string together another stunning run that took them all the way through to the end. Starting in Round 18 against Richmond, the Roos smashed the likes of St Kilda, Adelaide, Port Adelaide and Brisbane to make it to the Grand Final. In front of more than 94,000 fans, they defeated Carlton by 35-points.

Both streaks remain North's longest with six consecutive games the club's next best effort during five other seasons.
