North found its way back onto the winner’s list on Sunday, recording a strong victory on the road.
With all good wins comes some impressive performances, and North Media spoke with senior assistant coach Ben Dyer about some of the standouts.
Will Walker | 23 disposals | 7 tackles | 1 goal
“He probably got a bit more attention around the stoppage compared to previous weeks, but he was still able to get on the fly and get a few clearances for us.
“He had plenty of opportunities to hit the scoreboard, he had his little soccer goal that was a good insight into his soccer background. It wouldn’t have looked out of place at the World Cup.”

“He was in and under all day.
“You can pretty much regurgitate what we say each week about him, he was very impressive.”

“He read it really well, he worked out what his opponent was going to do and he came across to mark.
“He used the ball really well and kick-started our offence from deep in defence too.
“It’s important for him to stand-up now without Durdin, and he’s certainly shown more leadership.”

“Dec didn’t get a heap of the ball and he was on restricted game time, but he helped with our pressure immensely which is something we haven’t been that good at in previous weeks.
“He starts high, and he uses his speed to get back to either pressure the opposition, get to the fall of the ball or even win it himself.
“He was terrific given he’s played very little football this year.”
