Nathan Hrovat will play just his fourth AFL game for the year this weekend, when he runs out against his old side, the Bulldogs, on Saturday night.
The 24-year-old was in the North side for the first three matches of the season, but sustained a small fracture to his thumb at training in the lead up to Round 4.
After his recovery, the small forward was forced to bide his time in the VFL.
Also back in the side is Jed Anderson after overcoming a tight hamstring.
The pair has been named to replace Billy Hartung and Cameron Zurhaar - both omitted after the Roos' disappointing showing against the Cats before the bye.
Meanwhile former Bomber Alex Morgan edges closer to his AFL debut, named as an emergency.
