North Melbourne is set to take on Adelaide in its opening round clash of 2016.
The Roos and Crows will meet in a Saturday night fixture at Etihad Stadium, the second year in a row the two sides will play in the opening round.
Brad Scott’s team will be looking to improve on its disappointing 2015 round one showing, in which Adelaide won by 77 points.
The visiting side will have new coach Don Pyke at the helm for the first time.
In other fixture news, Carlton and Richmond will kick off the season on a Thursday night once again, with Geelong and Hawthorn playing in the traditional Easter Monday clash.
Good Friday Football has been overlooked for another year, despite the Roos’ push to play on the day.
