Drew Petrie will claim a small piece of history on Saturday afternoon, as he equals David Dench’s mark of 275 games.
Petrie takes the mantle of having played the eighth-most games in North Melbourne history.

The vice-captain is in his 15th season at Arden Street, after arriving via the 2000 National Draft, and subsequently making his debut in the 2001 season-opener.
Having played in almost every area of the field that a key-position player could, Petrie spent time down back and in the ruck before settling in as a permanent forward since the start of 2011.
He has kicked 212 goals since his move to attack, good for seventh in the AFL over that time-span. His profile is the the opposite of the man he’ll be joining on 275 games in the royal blue and white.
Dench was a full-back for his 16 years as a Kangaroo, winning two premierships along the journey. He also won the Syd Barker Medal on four occasions; 1971, 1976, 1977 and 1981.
Meanwhile, Michael Firrito will also pass Craig Sholl this weekend when he plays his 236th game, moving into outright 15th. He could move into the top 10 by the end of 2015.
