The Syd Barker Medal has always been a night that all die-hard Kangaroo fans have pencilled in their diary early on in the season, but in 2015 the night will take on some extra significance.
This year the club celebrates the incredible 400-game milestone of one of its favourite sons, Brent ‘Boomer’ Harvey.
Held at the stunning Peninsula at Central Pier in Docklands for the second year running, North's night of nights is one not to be missed as the club celebrate the highs and lows of the season and crowns the Syd Barker Medalist for 2015.
Much has been made of the dominance of All-Australian Todd Goldstein in the ruck, but will it be new Roo Shaun Higgins who scoops the pool? Or the 2014 winner Ben Cunnington on the back of a strong finals campaign?
Whoever it is, you can be sure that their name will be etched into the history books at North for years to come.
Harvey’s accomplishment will also be a showpiece event on the night, with a special presentation to be made to the Kangaroos' champion in honour of his outstanding achievement.
Drafted in the third round of the 1995 national draft, he has amassed an incredible 409 games (so far) in the royal blue and white, and is set to break Michael Tuck’s AFL/VFL games record, if all goes to plan, in the back-half of the 2016 season.
Be sure not to miss out on this incredible night and secure your seat at the 2015 Syd Barker Medal now!
