Midfielder Jack Ziebell says North is keen to atone for last week’s poor performance.
Ziebell said the Roos needed to show the rest of the competition that last week’s result was not indicative of where the side is at.
"We were more disappointed with the way we played throughout the game (against Hawthorn)," Ziebell told The Mercury.
"We have been spending a lot of time and effort on the mistakes we made and how we can correct them and the way we want to play against Richmond.
"I think the way we moved the footy in the first half especially wasn’t the way we wanted to. We turned it over a lot and giving that kind of opportunity to a side like Hawthorn they will make you pay – and that’s what they did."

Disposal efficiency was also high on the agenda, Ziebell said.
"We have worked a lot on our ball movement, it is something we need to get right on the weekend."
While some pundits may have written the Tigers off, Ziebell said the Roos were well aware of what their opposition is capable of.
"They are a quality side Richmond, they have some really good players. I think we match up really well across the ground with them in general," Ziebell said.
"I suppose we have been going in with the right mindset against that team (Richmond) over a long period of time and we have been lucky enough to get the job done.
"It won’t be easy on the weekend. Richmond will come out hard at the footy and we need to combat that and make sure we can get it on our terms.
"It is a massive game, both sides are 2-3 (wins, losses) and we would love to square the ledger this week."
