It was a disappointing week for North, going down to the Hawks in a game where a lot of AFL Fantasy mainstays underperformed.
Andrew Swallow top scored for the club with 127 points in his best score of the season, while Robbie Tarrant also produced his personal best for 2016 with a score of 106.
Here’s a review of Footy Prophet’s Fantasy Five from this week.
1. Lachlan Hansen ($301,000, DEF)
Hansen played only his second game for the season this week and an injury-affected first game meant his price was always going to plummet, regardless of what he scored.
He did his job though, scoring 85 points and in the fashion you’d expect with six marks, and 10 kicks in his 15 disposals.
It’s probably not the time of the year to be bringing someone like Hansen into your side, but his unlucky 2016 will leave him at an affordable price for next year.
2. Drew Petrie ($330,000, FWD)
After a poor game last week, Petrie bounced back with a solid 83 points.
The veteran kicked three goals and took six marks on his way to the decent score.
3. Jack Ziebell ($421,000, MID)
Ziebell also produced a score of 83 in a quieter fantasy game for the midfielder.
He’s averaged 94 points this season, but hasn’t gotten near that mark since Round 16 in what has been a drop-off in form.
Unfortunately, it also means his price has dropped quite a bit.
4. Robin Nahas ($247,000, FWD)
Nahas was the third Kangaroo to produce his personal best score of 2016, scoring 60 points on Saturday afternoon.
A yearly average of 47 probably means he’s not quite in contention for fantasy sides, but Nahas showed some potential with 55 points to three-quarter-time, before dropping off.
5. Trent Dumont ($370,000, MID)
After putting together quite a few good scores in a row, Dumont dropped off this week with a 49 point game.
Dumont scored 34 points across the second and third quarters, but a poor start and finish saw him stranded below 50.
He’s had a strong season and is certainly someone to watch out for next season. You can write this off as an aberration for the youngster.
