A tough run with injury will no doubt be making things more difficult for those at the selection table.
The club’s injury list currently contains 14 names – the good news, several key players are set to return in the coming weeks.
But with Farren Ray out for an extended period, and Mason Wood ruled out for this week, the Roos will be forced to make at least two changes against Port.
NMFC.com.au looks at those in the mix for a call-up.
Forwards
Wood will be sorely missed after a strong run of form in recent weeks.
The obvious replacement is Jarrad Waite, with the key-forward hoping to prove his fitness during training on Thursday, before teams are announced.
Waite last played in Round 12, missing the last month due to a hip injury.
Majak Daw could also come into consideration, assuming he can overcome a rolled ankle suffered in the VFL.
Of the smaller brigade, Robin Nahas will be ready to go if he’s given the chance.
Midfielders
With Farren Ray (hamstring) sidelined, the Roos will be hopeful Nick Dal Santo and Daniel Wells can prove their availability.
Dal Santo was a late withdrawal on Sunday with a virus, while Wells has missed the last two games due to a calf complaint.
Youngster Declan Mountford has been a solid performer at VFL level.
Defenders
Lachlan Hansen was in fine form before Werribee before succumbing to a knee complaint. The key-defender could come into the mix if he can prove his fitness later in the week.
2014 draftee Ed Vickers-Willis has been a rock in the Tigers’ defence in the last month, as has Joel Tippett.
