For a fourth consecutive season, North Melbourne has set a new membership record.
The Kangaroos have powered past last year’s total of 41,485 members, with the club’s current tally now sitting at 41,600 ahead of Friday night's blockbuster against the Bulldogs.
North Manager Director & CEO Carl Dilena thanked members for their continued support and encouraged those who were still not members to get on board for 2016.
"Despite breaking the record tally yet again, we still feel like we’ve got plenty of room for growth,” Dilena said.
"We’ve made an incredibly exciting start on the field, our best for over a decade, and with plenty more blockbusters, and hopefully finals to come, it truly is a fantastic time to jump on board.”
This is now the fourth season in a row the club has broken its membership record, with the total membership tally having grown for each of the past five years.
North coach Brad Scott said the players and coaching staff were proud of the support the club had received so far this season.
“Over the last couple of seasons we’ve had some huge crowds at some important games, and the boys often tell me how big of a lift that it gives them throughout the match. It’s fantastic,” Scott said.
"It’s great to be able to set a new record membership tally and see that our members share the same faith in this playing group that we as a coaching staff do as well.
“Whether you’re a member who gets to every home game, or a fan that supports the club, we really can’t express how appreciative we are of your support.”
The unbeaten Roos return to Etihad Stadium against the Bulldogs, with the club offering some great prizes to those in attendance.
