While the use of academy picks could very well shuffle the order, North goes in to this month’s NAB AFL Draft with its earliest pick since 2013.
The Roos hold the 11th selection overall, as well as picks 32, 33 and 80 for November 25’s Draft.
As the countdown continues, NMFC.com.au is taking a look back at the history of each of the key selections on the night.

Pick 80
It’s fair to say the 80th selection hasn’t been overly kind to teams throughout the years.
In fact, just one player, Stephen Newport has played more than five games after being taken with the pick (39 for St Kilda after 101 at a previous club).
Of the 15 players taken at pick 80 (outside of rookie promotions), only five played a senior game.
Essendon’s Michael Ross is the most recent player to be drafted with the 80th selection. He went on to play two matches.
Damien Murray (two games), Ben Atkins (delisted after one season) and Hugh Foott (no games) were all drafted by North.
North will be looking to buck the trend on Friday night, with a deep draft meaning plenty of opportunity to land a potential bargain.
