North Melbourne Football Club is saddened to learn of the passing of patron and former club director, Peter Johnstone.
Johnstone, who was at the club during both the 1996 and 1999 Premiership successes, passed away in Indonesia over the weekend aged 59.
North Director of Football Geoff Walsh, who worked with the man affectionately known as “Puck” at Arden St in the 90's, paid tribute to his contribution to the Kangaroos.
“Peter was a great bloke and extremely well liked at the club,” Walsh said.
“He certainly did his best as a director to make sure the club had every chance to succeed, and he was able to be a part of some amazing times at the club.
“We were saddened to hear of his passing and certainly extend our sympathies to his family and friends.”
