Wingman Bradley Hill has officially joined his brother Stephen at Fremantle on a three-year deal after the Dockers gave up pick No.23 in this year's NAB AFL Draft to Hawthorn.
Fremantle received that selection as compensation for departing forward Chris Mayne, who left for Collingwood as an unrestricted free agent on a four-year deal.
Hill was drafted at No.33 in 2011 and was a member of the Hawthorn side that won three flags from 2013-15.
"Bradley informed the club he had a strong desire to return to Western Australia and play with his brother at Fremantle," Hawks list manager Graham Wright told the club's website.
"We have worked closely with his management and Fremantle to facilitate a deal that we feel benefits everyone involved.
"He has been a great servant to this club and leaves a triple-premiership player.
"We would like to thank Bradley for his contribution to the Hawthorn Football Club and wish him all the best in the future."
Fremantle list manager Brad Lloyd told fremantlefc.com.au that Hill had a long career ahead of him at the Dockers.
"Bradley is an experienced premiership player with elite running and skill level," Lloyd said.
"We believe he will be a valuable acquisition to our playing list and be a long-term player for Fremantle.
"Bradley is really excited about returning home to WA and will relish the opportunity to play with Stephen."
Hill, 23, left on good terms with Hawks coach Alastair Clarkson, who gave Hill a touching send-off at the club's best and fairest last Saturday night.
"The only way we'd let him leave is for one reason, and that's family," Clarkson said.
"I love you like a son."
