Take a chance
North’s VFL representatives will have even greater motivation to perform this week.
Both Werribee and North Ballarat will play on Sunday, with the Tigers facing 12th-placed Coburg and the Roosters coming up against Frankston.
For ruck combination Majak Daw and Daniel Currie, it looms as another chance to impress. The former was considered unlucky to miss last week, while despite an injury setback Currie has been around the mark all season.
The Tigers will be boosted by the return of Levi Greenwood, and boast a strong North feel around the midfield with Kieran Harper, Sam Wright, Jordan Gysberts and Will Sierakowski among those named.
Gerard Fitzgerald’s team will rely heavily on its back six in a clash against the similarly-placed Dolphins. Luke Delaney is one player who’s been in fine form in defence, while brother Cam will be hoping to make a late play for a call-up to the Roos’ line-up.
Liam Anthony and Ben Jacobs will lead the charge through the centre, and a continued focus on his forward pressure could see Taylor Garner in the mix for a debut once again.
Away from home, the Roosters are desperate for a win to keep their season alive.
NMFC.com.au will provide full match reports of the games upon completion.
