Out-of-contract Port Adelaide midfielder Brendon Ah Chee has nominated West Coast as his club of choice for next season.
AFL.com.au reported last week the 23-year-old wanted to leave the Power to play more senior football, having managed just five games this season.
Port list manager Jason Cripps told reporters at Etihad Stadium on Monday for the launch of the NAB AFL Trade Period that the Eagles were interested in bringing Ah Chee over to them.
"Ah Chee has indicated that he wants to get to West Coast. West Coast has got some interest in securing his services, so we'll just continue to work through with them to see if we can facilitate a deal, but today's discussion wasn't in any great detail," Cripps said.
No discussions were had about Aaron Young or Matthew Lobbe.
Young is out of contract while Lobbe is signed up until the end of 2019.
Meanwhile, the Power expect an answer from Melbourne forward Jack Watts soon.
Watts has been encouraged by the Demons to explore his options.
"I think Jack Watts is meeting with Sydney today or tomorrow, so our understanding is there will be some decision made this week," Cripps said.
A similar timeframe is expected for a decision from Geelong restricted free agent Steven Motlop who the Power are keen to secure.
