Before North Melbourne takes on Carlton on Sunday afternoon, the two clubs’ VFL affiliates will do battle in a practice match at Arden Street.

With Werribee and Northern Blues having a bye, a practice match has been scheduled to give the AFL-listed players valuable match time.

For North, up to 14 players will take the field, including Lindsay Thomas.

Despite being in the middle of serving a suspension, the practice match status applied to the clash means Thomas is eligible to play on Sunday.

After 43 disposals last week, Ben Jacobs will back up for another full match, closing in on a return to AFL level.

Jed Anderson will make his return from a foot injury in Werribee colours, while Declan Mountford will play his first match in a fortnight after being North’s game-day emergency for the last two weeks.
